How big is that mailbox (both size & item count) & is it significantly larger than other mailboxes in the environment?
It might be worthwhile to move the mailbox to a new database just because if there is any corruption, it'll sort it out. The other option would be to then run an isinteg but that would affect the entire database.

Sounds like you have a problem with a DLL "Dynamic Link Library" for whatever program you're trying to use. Most likely it's been corrupted possibly by a virus or bad sector on hard drive or a file that mistakenly got deleted or any other number of things. I have had this problem before but only with the operating system (Win XP pro) never with another program. In my experience the only really good way to fix it is to re-install the program. Best of luck. Definitely run virus scan to check your files. Also you may want to try fixing in safe mode first if it's an op sys file that is corrupt or you can try system restore Found in start panel/accessories/system tools. If it's a program other than your operating sytem I would just uninstall it and then re-install it. Hope this helps. P.S. Microsoft will stop supporting Win XP next month (April 2014) no more updates etc. You might just want to upgrade to a newer version of windows.
