Introduction to Avast antivirus

Avast is an antivirus computer program developed by AVAST Software Company, formerly known as ALWIL Software. It was first released in 1988. Avast is based on a central scanning engine that is certified by ICSA Labs and West Coast Lab's Checkmark process and incorporates anti-spyware technology, also certified by West Coast Lab's Checkmark process, as well as anti-rootkit and self-protection capabilities.

Avast Free Antivirus is the freeware version of Avast!

hi i have the free version of avast antivirus program you dont need a serial number .go to cnet download /type in search box free avast antivirus/download/ leave on your internet connection/uninstall your old one /reinstall the new version of avast/you need to register the new version within 30 days thats it its yours for a year with a reminder from avast before your program runs out to renew your avast for anither freeeeeeee year .hope this helps.

the avast antivirus cant uninstal then pc get slow


Please try out the following steps:
1> If you another user account or the general account 'Administrator' login into that and try un installing from control panel->Add/Remove programs.
2> Stop the Avast services from ControlPanel=>AdministrativeTools=>Services section and then try uninstalling either from your account or using the other account if there are any.

2> Install Reg cleaner and run it , remove avast from registry contents using regcleaner it will be somewhere like Alwil  Software remove the contents and delete the installation directory.
