iam getting an error which says "Reload needed DLLs for HAL"

Try these: Do a system Restore: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/ht/systemrestorecp.htm < that will show you how
Restore hal.dll from XP CD (or w/e operating system you have) http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/ht/restorehaldll.htm

Those are the ways that i typically fix the error. If they both fail, you probably need to reinstall your operating system.
