NO ONBOARD VIDEO

Hello here is the ASUS homepage:

Here is a list of beep codes:

Your pci-e graphic card is failing or has a defect.
The problem could also be the power supply, not giveing enough power.
When you add a pci-e graphic card on the mainboard, the onboard graphic should deactivate itselves.
Try to remove the pci-e graphic card, and use the onboard graphic.
If still no picture, change the power supply.
Its not possible to change settings in the bios blindfolded.
You can reset the bios by removeing the cmos battery.
But ofcouse it could also be the mainboard itselves failing.
This is rarely happening, so i hope its just the power supply.
Try also to look for visual defects on the mainboard, especially the condensators on the mainboard.

Good luck

what graphics cards can i use with it

Hello here is the homepage:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?cat=Download&Model=ALiveNF4G-DVI

The mainboard has 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, for the graphic card.

Almost all new graphic cards, has this socket type.
The old type is AGP, but it does not fit this mainboard.

I recommed to use ATI/AMD HD series.

A big graphic card also needs, a bigger power supply.
At least 500 watts.

Good luck

Does XFX radeon 7770 work on MCP73PV

Hello you can easy install the graphic card.

It should be printet in on the mainboard what socket it is.
There is 2 different ones: AGP and PCI-E slot
I think you have an PCI-E slot.
All newer mainboard have pci-e slot.
An AGP socket card does not fit:

If you are unfamiliar with mounting a graphic card
Let a expert do the job.
It does not cost much.
Make also sure you have the driver for it.

Good luck

I want to install a graphic card that is better than the onboard one

Hello there, I am the Expert that will be helping you today, my name in damnor01.
Welcome to Fixya.

You need to start by identifying the slots that are present on your computer mainboard.

PCI is the white slot

PCI-Express is the faster than PCI. PCI-Express usually has a clip on the rear of the slot.

Use PCI-Express if you can.

Basically find the model number of your computer mainbard and then find the specs of your mainboard using google. Model number is printed on the board, between the PCI, AGP or PCI-Express slots or between the RAM slots.

Then purchase a card that is supported by your mainboard and install.

Problem with an deskpro pci graphic card

  1. with this age of computer it is still quite possible that the motherboard itself has a jumper that needs to be properly arranged to disable the onboard video.
