Anytime you are trying to install a program and it is giving you and error when trying to install saying error 1397 invalid drive "x":\ . (x can be any letter other c:). Adobe has this as a common issue when trying to install. This is most frequent with users that have multiple drive letters. They have multiple ways of fixing this problem. First go to start > run > type regedit. Once the box opens with the registry go to edit tab click find. Search for the letter you are getting the error for in this case x:\. The key you are looking for is usually located in the follow location HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows' CurrentVersion\ Explorer\User Shell Folders. Once this location is up on right side you should see a key with the letter that is causing you probelms x:\ right click on key and do modify and switch it to c:\. This should solve all your install problems. Sometimes a restart is needed after the modification.
What causes this problem. This is usually happens when something has modified your registry and set this other drive letter to your primary drive. Changing the letter back to c:\ should case you no issues.
