Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet
Many electrical components are capable of storing electricity, even once turned off. Sometimes this results in your laptop appearing like it's dead, when really a component internally hasn't turned off correctly. Before giving up on your "dead" machine, try the following steps:
1) Unplug your power cable, and remove the battery.
2) Hold the power button down for 5 seconds.
3) Reattach the power cable and the battery.
4) Try to turn on the machine.
It's that simple. I've seen this trick save customers thousands of dollars over my years as a IT Help Desk pro, and hopefully it'll help you out too!
