Tip & How-To about Samsung Star GT-S5233 Cell Phone

How yo unlock a cell phone?

  • 1 Ensure that your cell phone has a SIM card. You may do this by checking it physically (usually near the battery) or by searching online. In the United States, there are two types of cell phone networks--SIM and CDMA. At present time you are unable to use a SIM card in a cell phone that uses the CDMA network.

  • 2 Understand that if your phone has a SIM card, you have three unlocking options available to you.
  • 3 You can call the service provider who gave you the cell phone and ask for an unlock. In most cases the phone companies will refuse to give it.
  • 4 You can have your phone unlocked professionally. This is the most hassle-free way, but it's definitely not free. You will probably pay anywhere for $5 to $40 for the unlocking service. There are many sites online that provide this service, without you having to mail the phone in, but you can also find these companies locally.
  • 5 You can unlock the phone yourself. This is free, but it takes some Internet research. There are codes for all SIM capable phones, and usually the process takes about 10 minutes, but this is only if you are comfortable with technology. Be warned that you may irreversibly damage your phone, if you find incorrect instructions.This is not recommended to do.

  • For option # 4 you can go tohttp://networkunlocker.com
    to get your phone unlocked
    hassle-free.
    Cheers.

    Hello Sir, My phone automatically gets restarted

    The power offs may be from a defective battery, or dirty contacts at the battery and SIM card. The last cause would be from physical or liquid damage.

    I am locked out need a PUK code...

    PUK = Provider UnlocK code

    If you enter your SIM card password wrong 3 times in a row, you will need to use a PUK code instead: this code is unique to your SIM (eg. not to the model of your phone) and can be obtained from your Mobile Service Provider Help desk.
    If you have registred and can manage your Mobile number Online, then the PUK code can often be retrieve Online as well.

    Hope it helps: let me know how you go.

    WARNING: Do not attempt to enter the wrong Unlock and PUK code more than a few times (less than 10 usually) as your SIM card is designed to physically and pemanently self-disabled itself and only option will then be to get a replacement SIM (at a cost)!
