Try a different disc - if other discs play then it's the disc itself.
Don't try fixing the disc yourself with "YouTube solutions" like toothpaste or Vaseline etc etc.
Go to your local video / game rental establishment. Most of these places have a machine that resurfaces the disc (by shaving a thin layer off of it just a bit deeper than the scratches) making it read like it was new.
Usually it just costs a couple bucks, and some places will even do it for free (good advertisement!).
Pawn shops often have these machines too. Call around.
