Error Code - Meaning/Suggestion/Possible Fix:
0710102 - DNS Error: No DNS server available.
80010001 - Major Error, Game ability stopped.
80010006 - An error occurred during the start operation. - Corrupted folding install.
80010007 - An error occurred during the start operation. - During the (internal) hard drive disk swap tests. suggests a failure with the hard drive.
80010017 - Can't start Blu-ray Game
8001050B - Will not play demo game from the hard drive. When a Blu-ray disc is inserted. - Cause unknown".
8001050D - An error occurred during the start operation; PS3 game swapped using the eject function and then play pressed quickly. - Insert PS3 game again.
80010510 - Will not play games installed on the hard drive. - Cause unknown.
80010516 - An error occurred during the start operation: PS1 game swapped using the eject function and then play pressed quickly. - Insert PS1 game again.
80028EA5 - Unknown. User cannot connect to Playstation Network ("PSN"). Contact Sony for resolution.
80028EA6 - Connection Error: Turn off PS3, unplug router and modem. Turn on modem and allow it completely boot-up and synchronize. After the modem shows that it is "online", then plug in the router and allow it to completely boot. Lastly, plug-in and turn on the PS3.
80028F10 - Go to Display Settings then HDMI (or whatever your connection is) and choose Automatic.
80028F17- PS2 Disc Boot Error. An error occurred during the start operation: PS2 game swapped using the eject function and then play pressed quickly. - Insert PS2 game again.
80028F18 - PS2 Disc Error. Unsupported disc: eg. Utility discs, BB discs, IQ Remix game etc.
80028F19 - PS2 Disc Error. Fsck: the internal PS2 disk was corrupted. You may be able to use the HDD utility disc to fix it (use with caution), otherwise, contact Sony.
80028F1A - PS2 Disc Error. invalbnnetcfg: network config error.
80029023 - Exchanging Key Information: exchange has timed out.
80029024 - Cannot obtain an IP address. DHCP failure. Check network connection, modem and/or router.
80029301 - An error occurred during the delete operation: attempting to delete PS2 data from virtual memory card.
80029513 - Copyright Violation when attempting to install game.
80029516 - Sign in to PLAYSTATION-Network: needed for some games or PS3 processes. Sign-in is required for current operation/request.
80029564 - Downloaded game will not install: Cause unknown.
80029945 - Can't playback burned BDr movie: Error in picture.
80029946 - Attempting to play burned Dual layer NTSC disc on a PAL PS3. The workaround is to transfer files to the PS3 via TVersity.
80029C68 - Corrupt data. Usually on an external device.
8002A10D - Unable to Add friend in XMB. (Normally because you have reached the limit of (100 friends)
8002A4A6 - Cannot load game to play online.
8002A515 - Error Signing in.
8002A548 - Unable to remain logged in. Either due to game or server.
8002A705 - Unable to connect to server/host. If you are using a router, check port/DMZ configuration.
8002A71A - Possible NAT Error. Can log into Game Server but can't join game and can't host game. Turn off the PS3 and wait for 5 minutes.
8002B241 - DVI has no audio.
8002F994 - Too many people currently downloading the update. Server(s) at capacity. Wait and retry.
8002F997 - Trying to Update the XMB Firmware: Copying to a file and installing from a USB drive failed.
8003041F - An error occurred during the copy operation. (Using media server)
8003051E - Game will not Save.
80030920 - An error occurred during the copy operation. The file may be corrupt or there isn't enough memory. Try copying data from original source.
80031150 - System Settings Fail to Save. Possible Blue Screen Setting information is corrupted.
80031601 - Error Creating Account.
8013013D - A connection error has occurred: Causes may include the actual SSID of the wireless access point/router or signal strength. If the connection drops, try enabling DMZ functionality on your router (if supported) for your PS3. Otherwise check WPA key. The PS3 wireless interface [currently] does not support WPA2 - only WPA, WEP or none.
8013013E - WEP Key error: Change WEP key to *only* numbers and try again, or switch to WPA.
80130203 - PS3 connects to the internet (you can go a website via the PS3's browser), but cannot connect to the Playstation-Network. Typically this means that the required ports are not open/accessible. Check your router's configuration.
8013030 - System Error: Due to failed update download.
8013030F - Access Point was not detected. Check your router's configuration and make sure that SSID broadcast is enabled.
80410418 - DNS Error.
80410A0B - Internal error: "Hardware Fault". Send unit back to be replaced/fixed.
80710016 - The Playstation Network is down.
80710092 - "An error has occurred. you've been signed out from the Playstation-Network". Connection dropped? If your PS3 is wireless (least preferred), the association between the PS3 and the access point may have been dropped. You may need to "reboot" your PS3 if your PS3 and router are unable to establish an association.
80710101 - Connection error.
80710102 - IP Address conflict. PS3 cannot connect to your router with it's current IP Address information. Try rebooting your router and PS3. Occurs when two devices on your network have the *same* IP Address.
807101FF - An error occurred during communication with the server. This is a DNS error. It occurs when your PS3 tries to perform a DNS lookup to connect to the server.
8071053D - Hard boot the PS3. Turn off the PS3 via your controller (this is stand-by mode), Turn off the PS3 switch on the back of the PS3 and remove the power cord. Next, turn-off/unplug your modem (and router if applicable) for about 5 minutes. Then turn on the modem and wait for it go "online". If you have a router, turn it on and wait for it go "online". Then turn your PS3 back on and make a new network connection.
80710541 - The connection to the server timed out. This is usually due to: high traffic (between you and the server), high traffic at the server [itself] or you have a "poor path" to the server. Depending on result: Press the 'X' button to repair and restore default.
80710723 - Possible Port Error: Try opening ports. Configure your router to pass the following ports to your PS3:
TCP ports: 80, 443, 5223
UDP ports: 3478, 3479, 3658
Another option is (if your router supports DMZ functionality) to configure your router's DMZ functionality to pass traffic to your PS3.
80710A06 - An error occurred during the install operation. Error when downloading game from the Playstation-Network. An error occurred.
80710B23 - Playstation-Network is down or Playstation-Network is too busy to respond.
80710D23 - Turn the PS3 off for a bit. For 30 minutes give or take. Make sure that you either unplug or actually turn off the switch (located on the back of the PS3). "Stand-by" mode is when you see the red LED on the front of the PS3. If you see the red LED on the front of the PS3, your PS3 is *NOT* off.
81019002 - Error copying saves from location "A" to location "B" not open to connect to store but PS3 can connect to internet.
