How To Set The Time/Calendar For Your Seiko Watch

Time Setting for Models Without Calendar
Note: When setting the minute hand of a quartz watch, advance it a few minutes ahead of the time and then turn it back to the exact time.

  1. Pull out the crown all the way. Note: If your watch has three hands, pull out the crown when the second hand is pointing to 12 o'clock.
  2. Adjust the time by turning the crown in the desired direction.
  3. Push the crown back in to the normal position. Note: If your watch has three hands, push the crown back in to the normal position in accordance with a time signal for "00" seconds.
Time/Calendar Setting for Models With Calendar
Note: The date will change gradually between 9:00 PM and 4:00 AM. For some models, however, it will change instantly when the hands pass the 12 o'clock marker at midnight.
  • For models with date calendar
  1. Pull out the crown to the first click.
  2. Turn the crown until the previous day's date appears in the calendar frame.
  3. Pull out the crown to the second click, and advance the hour and minute hands until the desired date appears. Note: If your watch has three hands, pull out the crown when the second hand is pointing to 12 o'clock.
  4. Adjust the time by turning the crown in the desired direction.
  5. Push the crown back in to the normal position. Note: If your watch has three hands, push the crown back in to the normal position in accordance with a time signal for "00" seconds.
  • For models with day and date calendar
  1. Pull out the crown to the first click.
  2. Turn the crown until the previous day's date appears in the calendar frame.
  3. Turn the crown in the opposite direction until the desired language (bilingual) for the day before the desired day appears in the calendar frame. Note: For Cal. 7009 and 7019, push the crown back in to the normal position and then push it repeatedly to set the day.
  4. Pull out the crown to the second click, and advance the hour and minute hands until the desired date and day appears. Note: If your watch has three hands, pull out the crown when the second hand is pointing to 12 o'clock.
  5. Adjust the time by turning the crown in the desired direction.
  6. Push the crown back in to the normal position. Note: If your watch has three hands, push the crown back in to the normal position in accordance with a time signal for "00" seconds.
Note: Do not change the calendar between 9:00 PM and 4:00 AM as it may not change properly. If it is necessary to set the calendar during that time period, first change the time to any time outside those hours, set the calendar and then reset the correct time. When the day shifts automatically to the next day, the other language will temporarily appear.

Note: When setting the hour hand, check that AM/PM is correctly set. The watch is designed so that the calendar changes once in 24 hours.
Turn the hands past the 12 o'clock marker to determine whether the time is set for the AM or PM period. If the calendar changes, the time is set for the AM period. If it does not change, the time is set for the PM period.

Date change on my Tag Aquaracer Calibre S

Do as follows:1) At any time of the day pull the crown out and advance watch hands forward for EXACTLY 12 hours ( for example: if it's 6.35 on your watch, then after advancing hands it will be 6.35 again, just minute hand will be forwarded clockwise 12 full circles, while hour hand will be forwarded 1 full circle). Push the crown back in.
2) Pull the crown out to the date setting position and change to the desired date. Pull the crown back in.
Now your watch will be changing dates at midnight continuosly.

How do I change the date on a Colibri Pocket Watch?

Usually all quartz watches are supplied with calendar setting mechanism and it is very simple-
try to pull out crown and you will notice that there are two clicks,so, when the crown is pulled out to the first click, the date can be adjusted by the turn of the crown. When crown is pulled further out (second click)- the watch is in hand setting position and you can adjust time.
Did it help?

Citizen Skyhawk Time Adjustment Problem

It is possible to set the main analogue hour and minute hand 30 minutes out of phase with the digital readout, but doing so will also put the analogue UTC dial 30 minutes off. It can be done by using a variation of the proceedure for zeroing the watch hands as follows: 1. Rotate the crown in its normal opering position to set the watch in chronograph mode (mode dial pointing to "chr") 2. Pull out the crown to the second click. This should cause all the hands on the watch to return to zero. "HR" should appear on the left-hand digital display. This will allow you to move the hour hand by twisting the crown. Advance it to about half way between the 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock positions. 3. Press the top button. "MIN" should appear in the left-hand digital display. This allows you to adjust the minute hand. Twist the crown to advance it to the 6 o'clock, or 30 minute, position. Note that this will also move the minute hand on the small UTC dial to the 30 minute position. 4. Press the crown back into its normal position. 5. Reset the digital time and date according to a time zone that is in a one-hour offset from UTC. This is not a perfect solution. Your digital readings will show the correct time for all one-hour offset time zones while your analogue nads are 30 minutes out of phase. Your small UTC dial will also be 30 minutes out of phase with the digital UTC. Hope this helps.
