Tip & How-To about Office Equipment & Supplies

Printer ink

New printers are putting microchips in them so you cant use compatable inks ,so make sure when you buy one that it definately accepts compatable ink or it will cost you a fortune , or you can take it to a computer shop and they will fit a microchip so it can accept compatable ink.

reset ink canon ip4870

Did you replace the cartridge with genuine Canon inks, are you using non canon. or refillables? if you are using non Canon inks, they must be compatible with the printer. If you are using refillable, the microchip should be an 'auto set' one to fool the printer into thinking it is a new cartridge.

I bought some refillable ink cartridges for my epson rx 595 printer. I have the ink to refill them, but do not know how. is there any instructions you can help with, or suggest a site that can help. thanks in advance David

You can't refill Epson cartridges unless you have a microchip resetting tool.

The process is messy and you take a chance on flooding your printer if you get it wrong.

Why not buy affordable ink cartridges brand new and ready to use. They are called compatible cartridges because the are not made by Epson but they are for Epson printers, manufactured by other reputable companies and replicated by chemists to get the ink quality just right for the printer model they are intended for.

Don't believe the frightening stories you hear about compatible cartridges, believe me if you are going to refill cartridges using a refill kit, it has GENERIC ink in it and this is so it works on all printers and so it is not specific to yours and will give poor results.

You don't have to buy our ink, feel free to search the NET and find a retailer of your choosing, but don't use refill kits for your own sake.

I hope this helps
