hello, i have kingston flash drive type model 101 (DT101) data traveller 2gb n 4gb,it has suddently goes awry after i'm eject n unplug it. it cannot been identified by any usb hub at any computer by any circumstanses. not even list as a active drive.I has tried to plug it to another computer but its still popup the same problem. is it permanently damage or can be save by any chance? im using winxp pro service pack 3. "sorry my english is not very good :P"...

it may have been physically damaged but if not we will see it in your disk manager so: put the flash drive into a usb port. then goto start menu/ right click on my computer/ select manage/ select(double click) storage/ select disk management now you can see every storage device connected to your computer. you may have to reformat the drive (in which case you will lose your data) or maybe even reassign the letter. you can do this by right clicking on the drive in question and selecting one or the other. if you cannot see the drive in disk manager then either the drive is no good or the usb port is so maybe try it in more than one usb port. if the data on the drive is vital to you or you need anything else just text me back here cause i have many more tricks up my sleave:) hope this helps and good luck:)

to be sure try to plug this device in other computer if it works over there then its your usb port blocked by anti virus you are using .
