HOW TO WASH YOUR BUGABOO

Hand wash it. Sunlight soap is the best and give it a good soak and rub with your hands and the marks should come out. DON'T put it in the washing machine, so many websites say just machine wash but I don't recommend it. I have seen hoods completely skewed out of shape. There are lots of layers in the making of these (another reason why they are so expensive). They don't take long to wash, rinse until waters clear, squeeze excess water out and then dry in the shade. Don't put any cleaning substances/ upholstery cleaners on it, Sunlight soap is my all time favourite for this sort of thing and gets most marks out. If you don't know what Sunlight soap is then any pure soap or baby friendly washing soap would do (one with a picture of a baby on it).If you want details on how all the fabrics fit on to the Bugaboo check out Bugaboo Customer Service for downloadable User Guideswww.bugaboo.com/28 (note Bugaboo change site page names frequently so this link may be out of date when you try it. Just take the 28 out and try again.

Hi there, I would hand wash it. Sunlight soap is the best and give it a good soak and rub with your hands and the marks should come out. DON'T put it in the washing machine, so many websites say just machine wash but I don't recommend it. I saw someone trying to sell a second hand hood once and it had completely skewed out of shape. They don't take long to wash/ rinse until water clean and squeeze hard and dry in the shade. Don't put any cleaning substances/ upholstery cleaners on it, Sunlight soap is the all time favourite for this sort of thing and gets most marks out. If you don't know what Sunlight soap is then any pure soap or baby friendly detergent/ washing soap would do (any with a picture of a baby on it.

GE WSXH208FWW washer leaving spots on clothes

If you are getting round dark spots on your clothes after washing, the problem would be cause by a bearing seal leak. What happens is water leaks pass the seal into the bearings, and the grease leaks back into the wash water. To fix it would require the machine to be literally taken completely apart to get to the bearings. Very costly to repair. Sorry.

Are all material parts machine washable?

Good question! "No" is the simple answer, but washing is easy nonetheless. Here is some more detailed, general advice about washing:

The fabric parts should not be machine washed. Instead they should be hand washed and do remember to use a mild liquid detergent, preferably a non-biological one, or mild soapflakes. Never scrub fabrics with abrasive material or strong detergent.
Always dry the seat naturally; i.e. on the washing line please note that some fabrics, especially navies, are prone to colour loss if abrasion is used during cleaning. You are recommended not to rub localized marking. Refer to the product instructions for washing method. Colour loss can also be caused by sunlight. Do not leave your product in direct sunlight unnecessarily. Never use a tumble dryer or try to dry in front of a fire, as the high temperature may cause damage to the seat.
Reinforced parts such as hoods can be soaked, rinsed well and dried, as per the seat. The carrycot can be sponged clean with mild soapflakes and excess water removed with a dry cloth. Allow to dry naturally.

Continuous rinsing

Put 2 tablespoons of oil into the water at the bottom of the dishwasher it will help break up the suds. Sprinkle as well ordinary table salt liberally across the suds to disperse them. Try to drain the unit as much as possible, soaking up any residual water or suds with a dry towel. Let the machine fill again, and repeat the process if necessary. Good luck !
