PROPPER RESET METHOD

This works with most canon printers and can fix these problem
1.) Printer Not responding
2.) WASTE INK COUNTER FULL
3.) Waste resivour full
4.) Other messed up issues

To Perform This
1.) Unplug the printer
2.) Hold the Power button down(DO NOT RELEASE) and plug the printer back in
The Led Should Be Green
3.) Still holding the power button , press the paper feed button
The Led Should Turn Orange / Red
4.) Press the paper Feed Button Again
The Led Will Turn Green
5.) Release the Power Button

now have a glass of wine while you tell your wife you hacked her printer

I have a Cannon iP1600 printer and when i want it to print, it tells me that the waste ink absorber is full. How can I fix it?

Hi there
You can try this it some times works.

Super Canon User's method of resetting IP1600
1.Press Resume button hold for 1 - 2 minutes (count to 1 to 15-16)
2.Open the cover right away
3.Release Both cartridges out and then put cartridges them back again
4.Close The Cover
5.Turn Off Then Turn On again.

1. Download software for Canon iP1200, iP1600, 2200 Printers.
2. Unzip downloaded file by etc
3. Run GeneralTool.exe
4. Select the connected USB port number from USB PORT
5. Click LOCK RELEASE, and select the applicable model name in SET DESTINATION
6. In CLEAR WASTE INK COUNTER, select MAIN or PLATEN. The selected waste ink counter will be reset. MAIN resets the main waste ink counter, PLATEN resets the platen waste ink counter.
If both the main and platen waste ink absorbers are replaced, reset both the main and platen waste ink counters.

My Canon PIXMA iP 1600 - Waste Ink Absorber Almost Full what do I do?

1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not,
press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal.

Then download this tool unzip it and start it.Select the connected USB port number from USB PORT.Click LOCK RELEASE, and select the applicable model name in SET DESTINATION.In CLEAR WASTE INK COUNTER, select MAIN or PLATEN. Here's the steps for reseting "Waste Ink Full" problem at iP1000

Step 1: Manual for Service mode (1st method)
1. Unplug POWER and USB cables.
2. Open door, PRESS and HOLD the POWER button.
3. Connect the POWER cable.
4. Close door, then release POWER button.
5. Power ON your printer a usual (It should not blinking anymore)

Step 1: Manual for Service mode (2nd method)
1. Unplug POWER and USB cables.
2. PRESS and HOLD the POWER button,
3. Connect the POWER cable.
3. Release the the POWER button
4. Power ON your printer a usual (It should not blinking anymore)


Step 2 : Software for Permanant (1st method)
1. Reconnect the USB cable and turn ON your Printer
2. Open "General Tools for iP1000",

3. Select (USB PORT)
4. Choose (SET DESTINATION 1)
It should be reseted already, but somehow it start blinking again if you ever unpluging AC POWER cable. So try the 2nd method by using ServiceTool for IP1500

Step 2 : Software for Permanant (2nd method)
1. Reconnect the USB cable and turn ON your Printer
2. Open "General Tools for iP1500",

3. Select (USB PORT)
4. Choose CLEAR WASTE INK COUNTER - MAIN
5. Choose CLEAR WASTE INK COUNTER - PLATEN
It should be working, coz my printer now now work normally


I tell you what. Before you decide to reseting the waste ink counter, you should really clean up the ink absorber, or else you will find the ink watse absorber overflow...

Ink Waste Tank Almost Full on Canon i320 printer

Hi, This procedure should work.

Waste Ink Counter Reset.

Step 1 : Manual for service mode
1. Unplug power and USB.
2. Open door and hold power button.
3. Connect power.
4. Close door, then release power button.

or

1. Turn off the printer. And disconnect the printer cable.
2. Press and hold the POWER button, turn on the printer.
3. The indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.
4. Press and release the RESUME button , the indicator (L.E.D.) should be orange.
5. Press and release the RESUME button again, the indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.
6. Release both buttons.

step 2 : Software for Permanant
1. Reconnect the printer cable.
2.Open General Tools software and select (USB PORT)
3 .Choose (SET DESTINATION 1) And it should be reset.
