This message is regarding all Durabrand portable DVD players
The manufacturer of Durabrand portable DVD players went out of business in 2007. Walmart was aware of this and continued to do business with them. Several blogs have been posted at ripoffreport.com concerning the quality of the product line. Most store managers have been taking store credits on the merchandise.
Check with your nearest local Walmart for options. If they don't take care of it, try going to the next level. File a complaint at ripoffreport.com. Once there is enough of them the media will get involved and talk to Walmart about them.
This one was pretty blatant for the company to get out of it.

1800customersupport has bad customer service complaints listed on ripoffreport.com. This manufacturer stated isn't the vendor used on last years models only. Sure Wal-Mart owns the name and uses different vendors but 2007s vendor went of business and Wal-Mart blantly sold them.
1800customersupport is nothing more than a third party service company with negative reports of not provding parts needed. So this is nothing more than an advertisement and will be reported that way.
Wal-Mart needs to stand on by what they sell instead of pawning it off on someone else.

Durabrand is not by any stretch of the imagination out of business, it is a product owned (trademarked) by Wal-Mart and manufactured by Alco Electronics. But, since you obviously are worldly and invested so much time and energy to research your answer, let me help you.
