Indoor frosting.

Indoor unit frosting due to less rpm of indoor motor or coil and air filter dust blocked, short of gas and also less pumping of compressor.

I have two senville mini split 18000 and they both frost up with in 1 Hr. of use both have been pumped out and recharged


Dear Friend! Before recharging gas.did you check leak testing? If not, again you will same problem.

And some more reasons for frost up:
1. Indoor coil & air filter dust blocked-clean it. 2.Less rpm of indoor fan motor- replace capacitor or motor.

my 4 ton goodman heat pump goes into defrost and than after the cycle return in cooling stage at least the indoor coil starts freezing is the expansion valve working corectly


The reason for indoor coil freezing due to coil dust blocked-(Clean coil). 2. Less rpm of indoor f.motor. (Replace capacitor). 3. Short of gas. (Find leak and repair and then recharge gas.)

The line coming into my indoor unit gets iced up. The ice extends the length of the line out to where in connects to the outside unit.


Icing in door due to 1. Less rpm of indoor fan motor (Replace capacitor or motor). 2. Indoor coil and blower wheel, filter dust blocked. (Service the unit). 3. Short of gas. ( Find for leak and arrest. Then vacumise and do gas charging)

ice forms inside unit -frost buildup-on outside-out side fan shaking unit fan running fo r ours


First to solve your icing problem. Due to indoor coil & air filter blocked or short of gas ice formation will be there. And also check the speed of blower motor, if less rpm, change capacitor for blower motor.
Service the unit also.

Second, for shaking the unit means your out door fan cracked or broken. Check and replace it. Is it helpful?

how to determine evaporator icing problem of air conditioning units


Due to :

1.. Evaparator coil dust blocked. 2. Air filter blocked. 3. Less rpm of fan motor. 4. Short of gas. 5.Filter drier chocked 6. Compressor less pumping.
To rectify:
1 & 2.Clean air filter and evaporator. 3. Replace fan capacitor. 4.Check for gas leak and recharge. 5. Replace new filter drier, vacumize and gas charge.
