i have lost my manual for my bio tech plus air con. my air doesnt seem to be cold at all, not sure if i have right setting, on the remote there is a sun, snowflake auto and i think a raindrop, which should be the setting to use in summer to cool. regards Karen

Dear friend, find below symbols for mode setting. For cool keep minimum 3 degree less than room temp and heat keep minimum 3 degree higher than room temp. Dry mode will help you only in wintertime. Thanks.
Now symbols:
1. fan leaves - Fan only
2. Rain drop- Dry mode
3. Snow flake-Cool mode
4. Sun- Heat
5. A or AU- Auto mode.Helpful?

Unit comes on and shut off correctly but dosen't heat and cool home equally. Blows cold air in winter and doesn't cool home properly in summer.

Toget proper heat, keep your temp setting at 30+ degree and also mode in "heat"position. If still no heat, check your heating sensor for closed circuit by anOHMs metre. It it's with RV, check power to RV.If it's with heatingelement check power to element. If power is there but still no heat meanselement defective. Replace new heating element. Thanks. To get proper cool, keep the tips as follows:
1. Check air filter is cleaned. 2. Check indoor coil is cleaned. 3. Checkindoor blower motor is working. 4. Keep in cool mode. 5. Set temp minimum 3degrees less than room temp.6.Check compressor is working with correctpressure.
Thanks. Helpful?

Please check power in your room. Its no logic that all the units are having same problem at a time. May be common problem that is power.
To get proper cool, keep cool mode, and also temp setting 23 degree.

To getproper heat, keep your temp setting at 30+ degree and also mode in "heat"position. I

I have a Lennox model CB19-51-1P air handling unit with HP19-511-1P compressor heat pump unit. I just turned the heat on for the first time this season. And I am getting low heat volume. The heat pump unit is running for long periods. I am getting enough heat to maintain the 70 degrees setting with constant cycles, shutting off for short periods, running long periods. When the thermostat is turned to a cooler temperature, the unit shuts off as it should. Could you please help trouble shoot possible causes to this issues?

first thing you need to check is if the reversing valve is working you maybe running your A/C with the heat strips on depends on the t-stat your using some heat pumps will bring the strips on with a high degree difference in setting and room temp .

1- turn t-stat to heat set temp 10 degrees above room temp if you have a programable t-stat it will have a time delay on it allow to for the outdoor unit to come on 2 to 5 minute usually .
2- walk around to the outdoor unit when it comes on feel the big line the insulated one and see if it is hot or cold let it run for a 5 minutes peel back the insulation and gently grab the line with your hand it maybe real hot so be careful if this line is hot then your heat pumps is working mechanically and if it is just warm then you may need the charge topped off

there are so many different option's from this point i will need to know the findings of this test first thanks : Michael
