fix memory error message on camera

Hi there! Make sure the SD card is not locked. There is a tiny slider on the side. If is in the "down" position, the card cannot have new files saved to it. Move the slide to the "up" position, then reinsert the card.

If the slider is very loose, it's possible that inserting it into the camera slides it down, essentially making it useless. I have one like that. You could try a touch of superglue to make the slider harder to move, but I have never tried this and you would need to be very careful not to use too much, and to make sure it's entirely dry before putting it in your camera. Perhaps try a different memory card?

camera is somehow "card locked"

The SD memory card should be located where the rechargeable battery is, remove battery cover, should be a small tab holding the memory card in place, move it so the card pops up, remove it and look along the one edge for a switch, slide it towards the contacts to unlock the card. The switch that is furthest from the contacts is in the locked position. Now if you find the card is in the unlock position, slide it back and forth to reset, failing that replace the memory card. Sometimes the slider switch becomes defective locking out the card.

memory card not allow to write

Hello Mubarak_smk,

Its a very easy one to fix... if you look at the memory card, you will see a little notch or a plastic catch (depends on the card) and all you have to do is to move it.

So if the notch/catch is UP at the top... just move it DOWN...or if its DOWN move it UP.

Its that easy to do.

The memory card is a bit like an old floppy disk...if you remember a floppy, it had a hole on its top right side with a slider under it. You moved the slider to close the hole if you wanted to write to the disk and you opened the hole if you did not want to be able to write to it.... its the same idea for memory cards.

Hope that helps you, so please leave a rating so I know if it has.

Good luck
