Door ajar light stays on?

Does your vehicles door ajar light stay on all the time?

A quick and easy solution that fixes it most of the time is to spray WD40 into the latches. Yes WD40. Spray some into the latch, don't be shy you can wipe off the drips, then open and close your door about 5 times. Spray some more in there and open and close the door a few more times. Do this to each door and even the hatch. You will be surprised when the interior light finally goes out and the door ajar light finally shuts off.

Hey and while you are at it why not give the hinges some lovin too, spray some WD40 in there when you spray the latches. Might as well get rid of the creaky door at the same time as turning off the door ajar light.

Good luck and have fun.

One of the door switches is not showing an open contact. Which sugnals the computer that a door is ajar. Try blowunyg comoressed air into every door sqitch including the rear hatch. Afterwards, spray each switch with WD-40. Good Luck.

Try spraying wd40 or any rust penetrant into the door latches. Open and close the doors several times to unstick switches.
