Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet
As a 25 years experienced technician, some times I have clients who come to me saying " I have a computer that keeps shutting down randomely " they had it checked by some tech. and he can't find a clue what's going on, even after changing the power supply...
The reason is that the tech did not noticed the swollen capacitors on the main board usually around the CPU or the RAM...
Conclusion! if your computer is randomely shutting down, befor changing any hardware, open the box and check for the physical state of the capacitors (round aluminium cans covered in a plastic shrink) the top are suppose to be FLAT not about to burst.
They can be changed by a proffessional tech. with good tools and lots of patiance (not to damage the feed trough's on the board)
