HI, I have two 3com patch panels 3C17302 Superstack 3 Switch 4250T, connected to a switch panel. One of the patch panels does not work e.g. the connected pc's are not able to have Lan connection. Only the orange light is on, next to the power / self test inscription of the problematic patch panel. Thanking you in advance

I don't know anything about these units, nor do I have time to source any docs for you, but maybe you can try connecting a PC directly to the port your patch panel is connecting the the switch from, you can at least see if that port is working.
My next and only other suggestion is to invest in a "LAN cable tester". In my area, you can find cheap ones for U$20.
The tester will allow you to check connectivity between any two ports, and allows you to test both patch links and individual CAT5/6 cables.
Good luck!

My lg tv (had since Nov) says no signal for the tv or dvd player. How do I fix this?

Try unplugging all inputs and the power cord from the TV for 5 minutes. This will allow the main board to reset.
Next, just plug in the power plug to the TV, power up the TV, and even though there is not a source connected to the TV, check at least three inputs and see what the TV will report on the screen for each input.
Next, turn off the TV, plug in all known working devices (Cable/Antenna, DVD, Blu-Ray, Cable/Satellite box, Game, ….) with a known working cables to the TV, make sure all the devices connected to the TV are powered up and on, and now power on the TV.
Now check to see if the TV is seeing valid signal for all the inputs connected to the TV.
If your TV cannot see any signal at any of its inputs (HDMI1, HMDI2, HDMI3, AVI1, AVI2, Component1, ……), then the main board has failed and need to be replaced.
Good Luck.

Ink Cartridge Problem

TRY THIS FIRST!!!! it is the easiest and works everytime for me. Just unplugg it. I read somewhere, probably here, to do this. Actually pull the power plug out, not just turn off. I also took out the connnection plug to the computer for extra measues. Wait a few minutes then plug everything back in and turn on. It is like a computer rebooting. The printer will reinitalize itself and do a systems check. All the cartridges were recognized and the inkloads were correct. Had the same problem when I change the Black. Unplugged everything, and then perfect. I really like this multi function printer. it is the best for the money, cartridges are individual and cheaper then others. So if I need to just unplug every now and then not a big deal.

oh, I have always only used Brother cartridges, so I do not think it is cartridge problem. Before doing the tape just try this first. Wish I would have known about this solution with my previous one which obviously I threw away and did not have to.

A4 TECH RFK-25 KEYBOARD

Hello,

Please try below steps:

1. The most common problem when faced with a non-working keyboard is an improper connection. Try reconnecting your keyboard, restart your computer and see if that fixes it.
2. Turn off the system. Unplug the keyboard connect and inspect for any bent or broken pins. If the pins are bent, then it is possible to gently straighten them using the tip of a ball point pen or mechanical pencil. If the pins are broken, then replacement of the keyboard may be necessary.
3. Try updating the device driver. Visit the manufactures web site for the latest driver available for your keyboard make and model. While at the manufactures web site. See if there are software patches or updates available for your keyboard. If there are, go ahead and install them as well as the updated driver.
4. If you are using a multi-media type keyboard, be sure to delete the software before installing any new drivers for this type of keyboard. Install the updated driver for the manufactures web site, then re-install the keyboard software. If any software updates or patches are available for your multi-media keyboard, install them at this time. Delete the keyboard software by using Add/Remove Programs (Start>> Control Panel>> Add/Remove Programs). If you receive a prompt asking if you would like to remove all shared files, answer "No to all". Then click OK.

Further steps on this issue:

---------------------------------------

Disconnect the keyboard from the computer and connect another known working keyboard to it. If this is a PS/2 keyboard and connecting multiple keyboards or a known working keyboard to the computer PS/2 port does not work unfortunately it's likely that the PS/2 port is bad. Because this port is part of the motherboard this will require that you replace the motherboard.

Alternatively if replacing the motherboard is too costly or not an effective solution you could also consider using a USB keyboard if USB ports are available on the computer.

I hope this should resolve the issue.

You can mail me at thumuvikram@rediffmail.com for any further assistance.

Bye.

I had the same problem with an RCA, check your sleep mode settings on it, it may have defaulted to 1 min, so it cuts off when it cuts on
