Tip & How-To about Cell Phones

Ipad tips :Forcing A Misbehaving App To Quit

Sometimes Apps get weird. They can freeze and stop responding. To deal with that, press and hold the Steep/Wake button until the slide to power off message appears. Let go of the button and then press the Home button for around six seconds. This forces the current app to quick and allows you to get back to work.

applications close

there is no "close app" function on iPads as it runs on iOS not OSX - the apps "close" themselves after use,
only some GPS-using navigator apps or some others are in use istill in the background if you don't stop allow to do so in the settings.
- however if you do a hard restart of your iPad it frees some space and will really close all the apps....
(it's a kind of mistery to the average Apple-user...)
Restart iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Force quit an application: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPad for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the application quits.

Reset

To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond

  1. Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for 10 seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy New Year!
