how to use free facebook on my cellphone

What type of mobile phone do you have? you can use a free Facebook mobile access if you have a wifi connection and install a facebook application but depends on your mobile phone. Some other network had free usage of Facebook depends on what plan you've choose but other are loaded.

But did you know that you could view, update and upload to the site on your humble mobile phone? And all without installing a thing?

All you need is:
  • A Facebook account
  • An internet-capable phone
That's it. Read on to find out how to get up and running:
step01.gif
Point your internet browser to Facebook's mobile section. You might be required to sign in, after which you'll be shown to the mobile page. Click on the "Activate Facebook Mobile" button on the top right of the screen. size1.jpg
step02.gif
Input your mobile number in the left hand box, remembering to add your country code (+44 for the UK) in place of the first '0'. Then click on your carrier, or operator, in the right hand box. Then click on the Activate button. size3.jpg
step03.gif
You'll receive a swift text from Facebook containing your Confirmation Code. Bring it up and type it in to the box that now appears on your monitor. Click Confirm. size2.jpg
step04.gif
That's it, you're now signed up for Facebook Mobile. By texting a message to 32665 (if that sounds a little random, it's FBOOK on your keypad) you can update your status for all your friends to see. You can also receive texts when people poke, message, wall post, or befriend you. When you next check your Facebook profile you'll see that the Facebook Mobile application has been added. fac2.jpg
step05.gif
You'll now be shown to the customisation page, where you can set limits on what you receive on your mobile. You can choose whose messages, comments and status updates get sent to your phone and whether you should be notified of friend requests. You can also set the maximum number of texts you receive in one day and when they get delivered.

When you look at the reams and reams of "friends" some people seem to have, this is an important feature that shouldn't be skipped. You could be checking your phone all day otherwise (you popular thing you). size5.jpg
step06.gif
Finally, you should really point your mobile towards Facebook and keep it bookmarked. There's a specially mobile-optimized page for speedy updates. Go to m.facebook.com on your phone's internet browser.

You'll be able to do most of the things you can on your PC from here, but it's presented in a clear, simplified way that shouldn't hit your data usage tariff too hard. size6.jpg

how to use the MMS or activate the MMS on SAmsung E2121B

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

MMS (Picture messaging) is a service which you must have added to your cellular account. Simply call your cellular provider and ask that MMS be added to your account. (There will be a charge for the service)

If you already have MMS on your account, call your cellular service provider and request Tech Support assistance. They'll trouble shoot the problem and have you up and running in no time. They'll be happy to provide you instructions on how to send and receive MMS (picture messages)

I could not do Map Network Drive from other pc to my Dell Inspiron 1501. It looks like security setting is violated. I got message saying 'c' is available but the user account that you are logged on with was denied access.."

If you are using Window's XP or later the problem is probably the account you are logged into doesn't have "administrative access". You will have to log into the administrative account to make network changes.

If you are running Vista the default administrative account is hidden. To access it do the following: First you’ll need to open a command prompt in administrator mode by right-clicking and choosing “Run as administrator” (or use the Ctrl+Shift+Enter shortcut from the search box)

Now type the following command :
net user administrator /active:yes

You should see a message that the command completed successfully. Log out, and you’ll now see the Administrator account as a choice. (Note that the screenshots are from Vista, but this works on Windows 7)

You’ll note that there’s no password for this account, so if you want to leave it enabled you should change the password.
Disable Built-in Administrator Account
Make sure you are logged on as your regular user account, and then open an administrator mode command prompt as above. Type the following command:
net user administrator /active:no

The administrator account will now be disabled, and shouldn’t show up on the login screen anymore.
