When you press the power button on the iPad actually turns off just the monitor. That's why we talk so fast. What can be done to conserve battery power, or to recover from the freeze is to reboot the system. To do this simply by holding both the power button and the Home button until the red slider appears. Press and turn the iPad. Give it a minute and you can reboot by pressing the power button. It seems that a few seconds before responding so be patient.

If the iPad is unresponsive or certain controls aren't working as expected, try restarting the device:
If the iPad remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), try resetting the device:
If there is no video on iPad, verify that it has enough charge to turn on:
