Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

How to get help on FixYa

In order to get the right solution to your problem you need to leave a good
description of your problem,it's no good just putting a short hand one line
sentence even though some people who specialise in that category might
know what you mean, theirs others that don't understand a word of it.

how do you expect people to help you find the answer to your problem
if you don't tell them the main facts......
EXAMPLE:
can some one help me please i need to know what's wrong with my computer it doesn't work? thanks......

TRUST ME I'VE SEEN THAT QUESTION BEFORE!

I have a starting problem with a 2006 Barina. It crank over easy, have spark on all plugs and fuel to the injector-manifold, but won't start, until I add fuel to intake.

Hi Frederik This may have to go to a garage to be fixed.
From your description it sounds as though certain checks need to be carried out which I would only advise a qualified person to do. The reason for my advise is your dealing with a highly inflammable fuel running under pressure,
They would first check to ensure fuel is delivered at the injector and then confirm the fuel quality i.e. no contamination such as water. By your description it starts and runs if you put a fuel into the intake. This confirms that fuel is the issue or lack of. The other possible would be fuel pump fuse - relay or pump in that order. There is one other area I would check " air intake", where are you adding fuel to intake? Is it before intake box or after, if after intake box check the intake from the chassis area where the air first enters all the way through make sure nothing is blocked.
Leave air filter out and try if no different put air filter back.
When did fault first occur had you refilled with fuel shortly before? if so possible contamination could be the problem. Good luck

How do I synchronize a Grandfather Clock to chime correctly on the right hour?

Count the number of times the clock strikes, while leaving the minute hand pointing at the twelve, move the hour hand ( short hand) to the number it struck. ( this is the only time you should ever move the hour hand yourself). Tighten the hour hand by pressing the hour hand in towards the dial just a little. This can be done by placing a thumb nail on each side of the base of the hour hand at the center shaft. You do not want the hand to touch the dial. Now run your clock up to a quarter after, and let it chime. Now the half hour, the third quarter, and finally the hour. It should strike the correct hour if done correctly. Short version, move minute hand(long hand) to twelve so that it's pointing straight up. 2 move hour hand(short hand) back one hour. 3 tighten hour hand by pushing in toward dial. 4 check the function by advancing the clock one quarter hour at a time letting it chime in between quarters, then counting the strike on the hour. Hope this helps, and not confuses. Good Luck

how do I change from LEFT opening to RIGHT opening for the Arlington Lido handle set single cylinder

This web page will take you to the General description of your model:

http://www.kwikset.com/Products/Details/Handlesets/802AN-LIP-L03.aspx

I suspect that this special-order lockset may not be reversible-in other words- specific to right-hand or left hand only.

I therefore urge you to contact Kwikset directly for further assistance. Click on the link found on that page for Customer Support, then "Contact Us"

Any further model information and description that you can provide will be helpful.

Good luck!
