How To Recover Your Virus Hidden Files

This is the simplest way to get back files (from your removable memory or storage device) that got hidden or invisible due to an 'unknown' virus.

First, open the folder of your storage device.

Then click on the box on the right hand top of the window that has Search .....

and press '.'(full stop)

It will display all files in that folder.

Remember, this can only happen when a file is hidden due to a virus, not when the file itself is set to 'hidden'

when i put a usb in my computer it hides the folders and files. But when i look at the usb properties it has the memory of the hidden files. When i tried it in other computers it already has virus.

Could you please explain what you are trying to do?
Are you trying to reveal the hidden files on a USB device or are you trying to remove a virus?

-Revealing hidden files and folders-
1. Open the drive you are wanting to view the hidden files and folders in.
2. Click Tools on your menu bar and select "Folder Options" (If you cannot see your menu bar, you may need to press "alt" on your keyboard.
3. A box will popup, select the "View" tab on top and look down the list of tickboxes, you should come across one that says "Show hidden files and folders", select it. Click apply and ok.
(To view system hidden files and folders, untick the option: "Hide protected operating system files", it is not recommended to have this unticked.)

If it's a virus, I suggest you run a scan on a up to date Virus scanner, once threats have been removed. I would also recommend formatting the drive (once you have backed up any neccessary data).

Recovering pictures from memory card

Try photo recovery software to rescue the lost pictures, here are some you may rely on. Both programs can also recover videos and music.

Photo Recovery Software (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)

Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the memory card(digital camera) in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.
