Transfer a Xbox 360 live account to a new Xbox 360

  • Turn on your Xbox 360 and navigate to the dashboard.Sign out of all accounts if necessary and press the silver "Guide" button on your controller.Select "Recover Gamer tag" from the list of options and select "Recover Gamer tag" from the resulting dialog window.Select "Yes" from the resulting confirmation box. This exits your current session and takes you to the account recovery wizard.Enter your gamer tag (Xbox Live ID) in the text box and continue to the next step.Enter your Windows Live-ID and password and continue to the next step. The Xbox 360 will confirm and upload all of your information from Xbox Live.

    Xbox live account states "corrupted


    Hi. Try this. You will lose any achievements you have earned since your profile went offline.

    1. Power on your 360.
    2. Access the dashboard, go into system settings, then into the memory option. Find your profile.
    3. Delete the corrupted profile.
    4. Sign out of your profile if you're already on it! Press the Xbox guide button press X and select sign out.
    5. Go into "my xbox" on your dashboard
    6. Select "recover gametag" in the dialogue box. Press A to select it. Follow the instructions to repair your profile.
    7. Enter your gamertag in the Xbox live gamertag dialogue box that pops up
    8. When process is completed your avatar will appear in the sign in area of the dashboard
