I have a disgo 6000 running android 2.2, but there are no drivers in the box, and I cant connect it to my pc via either mini usb ports, anything you can suggest?

Android devices doesn't need any drivers since they will act as a USB storage device once you plug it in a PC. All android device comes with mini USB from your DISGO and a standard USB plug on the other end of the cable.

hi our controllers wont charge on our playstation 3 console can you help

Are you charging it correctly? To charge the controller, you use the PS3 charge cable that should have come with the controller (it's a USB A to mini B cable). Plug the USB A end into any port on the PS3 console and plug the mini-USB B side into the PS3 controller. The controller will only charge if the console is on.

Are the USB slots on the PS3 busted? Try a different slot on the PS3 console, or try a known working controller/cable combination on the slot in question. Alternatively, you can use something that has a USB port on it to charge your controller (for example, a laptop or PC). Again you must make sure the device that is charging the controller is on.

If the problem was the PS3, you can send it in for repair (if under warranty, it's free; otherwise it's 150$ so it might be better to just deal with the broken USB port).

Maybe the cable is broken? Try another cable, if possible, with a USB slot and controller you know is working. If it is the cable you can get replacements for really cheap.

If you can confirm that it's none of the above, the problem is probably with the controller. The first thing you should try is resetting the controller. There's a small button on the back of the controller, near the L2 button. You'll need a paper clip, but just press that. Then try to use it/recharge it again.

If it still won't charge it's possible the controller is dead (as in the battery will no longer hold a charge). The best way to confirm this is to try and use your controller while it's plugged in (as if to charge it); if it works while plugged in, but stops when you unplug it then the battery has died. You can replace the battery yourself (there are instructions in the PS3 manual), or send in the controller to Sony for a replacement (assuming it's a first-party controller aka made by Sony). If you're under warranty it's free (first party peripherals are covered), otherwise they may still take it for a fee but I'm not sure.

Hope you're able to fix the problem!

I restored my ps3 because my wireless controller wasn't syncing with my playstaion so I restored the hardware and now all the screen says is connect the controller via USB, have tried and reset controller and nothing also tried wired controller to no avail, any advice would be appreciated.

Try to reset the SIXAXIS it is a small button located at the top of the back of the control.
If that fails, try this. Plug the mini-USB port end of the USB cable into the PlayStation 3 controller while connecting the standard USB port end of the cable to your PC.
Wait for Windows to report that it has "Detected New Hardware" and let Windows go through its full scan. When Windows says that it could not recognize the hardware, the scan is complete Download the appropriate drivers for your controller, either SIX AXIS or DUAL SHOCK 3 (it is written on the top of the controller).
These drivers can be found on several websites by doing a Google search for "PS3 Controller PC Drivers Unzip the driver files from the zipped folder to someplace easily accessible on the hard drive (such as your desktop).
Double-click the Setup icon and follow the directions given on-screen to install the SIX AXIS drivers Unhook the controller and reset your computer to complete the installation process.

Literature for A820n indicates that component cables from a camcorder or VCR can be conncted to PC. There are no connections provided with this unit however. I wish to use the Intervideo software to capture some old 8mm video for editing later. Any suggestions as to a conncection scheme? Thanks Oliver

Camcorder should have a usb connection on it someplace, This will be a mini usb port which will connect to your computers usb port. Cable will have one standard usb connection, other end of the cable will have mini usb end. VCR video will connect to a yellow connector if there is one on your computer otherwise you will have to check out the computer store for a video capture card and put it into your computer or have them do it. Hope this helps.

where on my computer do I plug my camera into in order to upload my pictures?

    • Normally you would connect the camera to the pc using a USB lead. To do this your camera should have a mini USB slot somewhere and you would plug the mini USB cable plug in to this, then plug the larger USB end of the cable into one of the USB ports on your PC (USB ports are usually oblong and situated on the back of the PC) , You may need to install some software supplied with the camers to do so.
