When i want to delete some of the items from my nokia6710 navigator i'm asked to enter the lock code.I do not know what the lock code for the same cellphone is.So can you help solve this problem?

I need to set up a security code to delete my recent calls how so i set one up


From the home screen press the RIGHT SOFT KEY (Soft keys are located above the center navigation key on the Right and Left sides, usually denoted with a horizontal line on the key)
Scroll to the SETTINGS option and press the CENTER NAVIGTATION KEY to make the selection.
Scroll to the PHONE SETTINGS option, and press the CENTER NAVIGATION KEY to make the selection.
Scroll to the SECURITY option, then press the CENTER NAVIGATION KEY to make the selection.
Scroll to the PHONE LOCK option, then press the CENTER NAVIGATION KEY to make the selection.
Scroll to the desired option, then press the CENTER NAVIGATION KEY to make the selection.
THE DEFAULT SECURITY CODE IS 0000 (4 zero's)
To change the current code, scroll to CHANGE CODES, then use the CENTER NAVIGATION KEY to make the selection.
Scroll to desired code, then use the CENTER NAVIGATION KEY to make the selection.
Enter the security code, then use the CENTER NAVIGATION KEY to confirm the code.

ENTER THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF YOUR WIRELES NUMBER. MY DAUGHTER LOCKED HER PHONE AND DIDNT KNOW THE LOCK CODE, SHE FREAKED. THE LOCK CODE IS THE LAST 4.

volume control was locked when I received the ipod


go ask the seller... they will know and if they dont then just ask for a replacement...

One way to get rid of this code is to use Nokia's software updater from their site. If not you may need special equipment or take it to a service point (will be cheaper).

FROM THE MANUAL


ERASE MEMORY

Erase memory erases your Phonebook and Voice Dial recordings. This feature is useful if you want to give your phone to a friend or family member.

1. In standby mode, press the left soft key (Menu), then press 9 (Setup), 4 (Security). You're prompted to enter the lock code.

2. Enter the lock code (try the last 4 digits of your phone number unless you set a different one), then press 6 for Erase Memory. A confirmation prompt appears in the display.

3. Use the navigation key to highlight Yes or No, then press OK. A confirmation message appears in the display while your messages are being erased. Your phone then returns to the Security menu.


RESET PHONE

Reset Phone returns all setup options to their factory default.

1. In standby mode, press the left soft key (Menu) then press 9 (Setup), 4 (Security). You're prompted to enter your lock code.

2. Enter the lock code, then press 7 for Reset Phone. A prompt appears in the display asking if you wish to restore default settings (except for the Phonebook and Voice Dial).

3. Use the navigation key to highlight Yes or No, then press OK.
