After failing to reset the screen resoultion in Safe Mode, try to get back into

Your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders. Choose last known configuration to reverse to the most recent setting that worked. If a previous start-up attempt was interrupted due to a power failure or because the Power or Reset Button was pressed, or if you are not sure what caused the problem, choose Start Windows Normally. SAFE MODE SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING SAFE MODE WITH COMMAND PROMPT LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION (YOUR MOST RECENT SETTING THAT WORKED) START WINDOWS NORMALLY I CANT GET PASTED THIS SCREEN

Choose safe mode and see if you can get into it. If you can then go into system restore and choose the last date that you remember the computer working properly.

At this point the computer will restore the computer back to the earliest date that it was working properly.

Once you do this the computer will reboot and it should go back into windows normally and work just fine. If for some reason it doesn't then windows is corrupted and you'll need to wipe out the hard drive and restore the computer back to factory defaults.

HELP!! (dell precision 340) im getting 4 screens when i turn on m

Reboot into Safe Mode by repeatingly tapping on F8 while in process of rebooting and then select "last known good configuration". If that fails reboot again to safe mode and select safe mode with command prompt and in the command prompt type "chkdsk /f /r " <enter>

If that doesnt work do place your Windows CD into the Cd-Rom, reboot and select option "Repair"

computer will not start

Hello,

Choose Last Known Good Configuration. If that doesn't work, choose Safe Mode and then do a system restore to roll back your PC.
