How to Fix for Slow or Choppy Scrolling in Firefox

How to Fix for Slow or Choppy Scrolling web pages in Mozilla Firefox 3

There is a way to fix this problem though.

1. Close Firefox 3 and navigate to the chrome folder. The location may vary. Mine was located at:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\randomvalue\chrome

2. Right click the file userContent-example.css and select Rename.

3. Take out the -example to give the file a name of userContent.css.

4. Open userContent.css in Notepad.

5. Copy and paste the following code at the end of the file:

/* Smooth Scrolling: Disable Fixed Background Images */
body {
background-attachment: scroll !important;
}

6. Save and close Notepad.

Now give Firefox 3 a shot. Hopefully the scrolling is quicker and smoother.

Hi, Please try doing this:
While in Mozilla homepage, please click on "view". It can be found in the higher left part of your screen. then hit on "toolbars" then check on "navigation toolbar". I hope this helps.

Mozilla Firefox Open Slow!!?

Hi,

You can fix the issue of slow running of Mozilla Firefox web browser in different ways. First of all, remove all unnecessary browser extensions from the system. This will make working of Mozilla Firefox web browser fast. If your browser includes any out dated plug-ins then update the particular plug-ins. Another method to make the browser functioning faster is performing a full system scan to remove any kind of malware from the system.

Choppy internet browsing

Two possible solutions: 1. In your browser > Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Check “Use smooth scrolling”. 2. If that doesn’t work, try updating your graphic card through Device Manager. Start > right click on My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > Display Adapters > Right click > Update. If that doesn’t update or doesn’t work, try updating through manufacturer’s website.
