You could do this: Dry the camera, battery, any accessory, etc. with cloth and wrap each piece, camera and accessories, in newspaper. Place a few handfuls of rice into a plastic bag and then place the wrapped camera in the bag with rice. The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your camera because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the camera. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs.

First of all, do not turn it on, you could make more damage. Next, take out the battery, and completely dry the phone before trying to use again.

How to fix a phone dropped in water?

You may not be able to rescue this but it's worth a try.

First thing is to remove the battery or battery pack. Take the back cover off and take out the batteries.

If you can, take the cover of the phone apart - this is not always easy. There may be some screws inside the battery compartment, so remove those. You may now have to carefully prise the two halves of the casing apart. If it's not obvious how to do that then leave it alone.

You now need to leave the phone on a warm place for at least a week to allow all moisture to evaporate, before re-installing the batteries and re-charging.

Desiccant Moisture absorbing packs will help to absorb some of the excess humidity in the safe. In addition to the desiccant packs, you should open the safe at least once every two weeks for approximately 20 minutes. To alleviate some of the musty odor, we suggest that you remove the items from the safe and wipe the interior with a paste of baking soda and water. Do not store your safe unit in areas of your home or business with already high humidity levels such as a basement or cellar as this will add to the moisture problems. You can purchase desiccant packs from www.SentrySafeShop.com . The link for the desiccant packs is: http://www.sentrysafeshop.com/Moisture-Control-Desiccant-Packets-p/desiccant%20pack.htm
