Asking for A MS Office Product Key? Here's A Suggestion!

If you post a "problem" on Fiya asking for a Microsoft Office product key, here's something you should know. The only legitimate way to get a key is to purchase one from Microsoft. Most of the people who answer questions here will tell you that.

Sometimes you'll get a key or two to try, or a link to a site where you can find keys or keygens (key maker programs). But you'll need to be careful. Most of the sites that offer this material are known sources of viruses and other malware, so visit them with caution. Be sure your antivirus/antimalware software is up-to-date. Also, all of Microsoft's products require activation. It's a safe bet that any legitimate key you find will be on the blacklist and won't let you activate with it. Any key made by a keygen will fail because MS will not have a record of it.

Instead of trying to get around paying MS any money, why don't you try a completely free, competitive alternate suite called OpenOffice? It offers word processing (like Word), database (Access), spreadsheet (Excel), presentation (PowerPoint) and graphics (Publisher) capability. OpenOfiice can work with MS Office format files, including docx, as well as many other formats. You can get versions for Windows, Mac, and even Linux systems. It's available in many different languages, too. And it won't cost you anything.

Stay legitimate for free. Look at OpenOffice instead of spending time (or money!) with MS Office.
