How to service a phone

Hi, it works this way. First remove the battery so that the water will not make the phone dead completely.

You will need to service the phone by cleaning the phone.

First you will need a screw driver, to unscrew the phone, a methylated spirit, small brush and a dryer.

First, use the phone screw to unscrew the phone remove the board of the phone, take the brush and the methylated spirit, brush off the water of the board ( water is already dried up on the board), After brushing the phone board, use the dryer to dry off board.

When the board is dried up,you can replace the board back into the phone and screw back necessary screws.

After putting all the screws back.problem solved....

My fone dead put charger in does nothing dead dead dead

Nokia phones are notorious for slow response time when recharging from a completely dead battery.

Remove battery.
Make sure there is good contact between all of the contact points.
Replace battery.
plug in charger.
wait for at least 5 min.
If recharge symbol does not appear in window, then one of these things has occurred:
1. Phone has internal damage or water damage. no way to fix without nokia service.
2. Battery is dead. Try a new battery
3. Charger is bad. Try a new/different car charger or home charger.
These chargers are very inexpensive on Craigs List, try to solve it before throwing away the phone. Good luck,

You have two options, the phone might come on and the phone might not come on,why because when a phone stays too long in the water it might not power up the phone unless the phone is flashed.

You can use this link to see how to flash your phone.

V3 dead but keypad flashing

I had exactly the same problem. After unsucessfully looking for a solution on the net I removed the simm chip and set it aside. The next day, I put it on PC usb charge and left it overnight. The next day, I powered it up and it worked. I turned it off and replaced the simm and it is now working fine. Go figure...
