How to have background wallpaper into your hard drive or folder?

Hi guyz,
U can have any background image on your hard drive or folder.
for this u have to create a note pad file.

1. Open note pad
2. copy and paste following statements:

[.ShellClassInfo]
IconFile=%SystemRoot%system32SHELL32.dll
IconIndex=116
ConfirmFileOp=0
[ExtShellFolderViews]
{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}={BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}
{8BEBB290-52D0-11d0-B7F4-00C04FD706EC}={8BEBB290-52D0-11d0-B7F4-00C04FD706EC}
[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
IconArea_Image-=
IconArea_Image=Folder Settings$.jpg

[{8BEBB290-52D0-11d0-B7F4-00C04FD706EC}]
MenuName=T&humbnails
ToolTipText=T&humbnails
HelpText=Displays items using thumbnail view.
Attributes=0x60000000

3. Save that file as destop.ini
4. Now save it into any drive
Eg. c:
create folder naming "folder settings" and paste some images

suppose u save
1.jpg
2.jpg

now open desktop.ini file
now edit the line

IconArea_Image-=
IconArea_Image=Folder Settings.jpg

nw save and enjoy.

I have downloaded the files from my old computer to the Seagate hard drive. How do I transfer those files to the new computer?

Copy, Paste. Just choose what files you want to copy over, and WHERE you want to store them.

If I were you I would create a new folder on the desktop, right-click an open space, new folder.

Then highlight all your old files, right-click, copy. Open the "new folder", right-click empty space, paste.

what do I have to do to start copying file to the external hard drive. Looks like I am just getting shortcuts. The file folders have the small black arrow indicating a shortcut

Hi right click on the file you want to put on the ext. hard drive. You will see a option "send to" click that then choose the ext hard drive. This will sent the whole file and not just a shortcut. Thank you for using Fixya.com

need to transfer copied files to x301 after full restore

create a new folder in your hard-disk and first try to copy 1-2 files from the external hard-drive to the new folder (copy any data/work/images you have stored/created not any files of windows folder or root of c: drive)

if the above copy works then copy back all except the c: root and these folders - Windows folder, Document & settings, Program Files
