where's my serial number

You should provide a BRAND name in order to find a definite answer to this question. Different manufacturers place this information on nameplates in different locations on their appliances. Most commonly, the Model and Serial numbers are located around the oven door opening. You will have to open the door to see the nameplate. If you have a lower oven drawer, its probably located there. On certain models of Maytag and Fridgidaire (I'm sure there are other manufacturers as well) this same information is located on the BACK of the operator console. If you are still having problems, please post back with your brand name and I'll see if I can give you better guidance.

the timeing is off and on it stope before it complete the wash.

It needs a new timer. You can easily fix this but the part can be expensive. New timers can cost up to $100. It may not be worth it. Call an appliance parts store in your area and get a price quote. Have the model and serial number available when you call. If it is more than a few years old try a used appliance dealer, they may sell you a used part. It is easy to replace, just keep track of the wires. Sometimes the part you get will be made by a different compayn than the one you have. This is ok it will still fit. Just match the wire colors or numbers.
