Tip & How-To about Refrigerators

Appliance Repair Boise - GE refrigerator making clcking noise

When you hear your GE Profile refrigerator making a clicking noise, coming from the back/rear of refrigerator, your refrigerator control board is bad. If your refrigerator and freezer are still cooling then you are lucky and you might have a few days to get that control board replaced. The clicking sound you're hearing most of the time, comes from a small panel located on the rear of refrigerator. Remove 3 screws and replace.

The clicking sound you are hearing is coming from a relay on the board.Take the metal that covers the board off and you should be able to isolate where the noise is coming from. Changing the board out is an easy repair.
