Tip & How-To about Microsoft Internet Explorer 8

How to added a site to trusted sites

Hi,

when ever we are getting a popup stating that the site you are browing is not trusted and if you feel that that the site is an valid one and still you want to continue.

you can add the site to trusted one and continue happily, as below

open tools in IE->internet options->secuirty tab->select trusted sites->click sites and add the sites which u want to add

i would suggest add your frequent access sites to this area and surf happily.

you have to trust the site is geniune as the encryption used does not have a valid security certificate with it and your internet browser cannot be sure the web site is who they say they are. Firefox browser comes up with a warning and asked to trust the web site. Chrome also comes up and states a similar warning. Internet explorer comes up also with a warning .
Without a valid security certificate your operating system cannot verify the web site is the geniune web site and it could be someone intercepting your internet connection and pretending to be the web site. You have to decide if you wish to risk logging into a possible bogus site or if it is the correct site you are after.
The HTTPS is using an encryption protocol and this is why the browser stops and asks do you want to take the risk or not. You may be giving your password and user name to a hacker that is the risk it is warning you about.

why dom't my bookmarks open....i get site not trusted

This is your browser warning you that if you continue you may not be on the site you think you are. This warning comes when your browser checks a certificate from the site to validate its identity. If he certificate is invalid or has anything wrong with it you get the warning. If you are storing an old certificate and the site has changed to a new valid certificate you will get this warning. for Internet Explorer, open your browser 'Internet Options' select the 'Content' tab, select 'Clear SSL state' button. Close the browser, open again and attempt to view the page. This will pull the current certificate from the site and validate it. If you continue to receive the warning, I would recommend not visit the site as you cannot validate it not being a spoofed site.

HP Guru Needed!!! Subsystem spooler printer errors, trayapp.msi and HP Photosmart Essential.msi errors.

Best solution is to download the latest AIO software package from the HP site and install with that. Just make sure you get the right package (32-bit or 64-bit).
