Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

How to get a quality solution on Fixya!

Now, let me start by saying that I'm not trying to be rude or disrespectful, but I don't have the patience to respond to every problem that isn't clear enough to solve by asking for more details, and they seem to be getting more and more frequent. I feel like all of you who don't provide the proper information are missing out on the assistance you could receive here at Fixya.
So to all of you out there with problems, please understand that we, the Fixya experts, know nothing about your problem beyond what you tell us. For example, if you post a problem under the category "cars and trucks", and all you write in the description is "alternator", we don't understand what that means. Are you looking for the alternator on your car? Or looking for a replacement? Or trying to diagnose a problem? We have no Idea!
If you want a quality solution please follow these tips in writing your problems, this will help everyone in the Fixya community.
1) What product exactly are you working with? If it's a vehicle what year make and model, and any other useful information. 2) What is it not doing that it should be doing? 3) What changed if anything recently before it stopped working properly? 4) What if anything have you done to diagnose or resolve the problem? 5) What information do you want to receive in your solution? How to solve it yourself? What exactly the problem is? Where to go to have it solved for you? Where to find what you are looking for? etc... 6) Be very descriptive, the more information you can provide, the better we can understand your problem and help you resolve it. 7) Use proper grammar, don't use short hand, the more we have to infer from your post the greater chance there will be a misunderstanding of the problem. 8) Be polite and professional, we experts enjoy helping others, and we like nothing more than to hear that we've succeeded in assisting you with your problem, if you need more information we need to know what else you need, and we'll be more than happy to provide. 9) Most of all, understand that we only know what you tell us about your problem, so without much description we don't have much to go on!
That's it folks! By following these tips you will have the best chance at getting your problem solved quickly and efficiently here on Fixya. I hope you all get the assistance you are looking for!

this is a problem for senior management or HR to solve
It could be a company culture or a person who needs better management skills
unfortunately people who behave like this are not capable of change so be prepared after talking with senior management that one of you will be asked to leave
Make sure that it is not you by having facts , time , place and witnesses to your arguments or other people who he treats the same

Which personality traits do you have?

There are so many positive personality traits in this world, and yet you don't use a single one to describe yourself, that is very, very sad.

I try to be honest, appreciative, sensitive, and trustworthy in all things. My friends are much the same way. I appreciate them and they appreciate me.

how to fix fuser temp error for ac 116

If you need help from a professional, it would be nice for you to at least be cordial enough to write down the proper manufacturer, machine model so that a professional technician, like myself feels like you are being equally respectful to our time and advice.

AC 116 is rude, and disrespectful if you are genuinely looking for help.

The RC R0509 remote control does not respond to the receiver. I bought a universal remote and tried all the codes but still no responce.

people say that you have to tap on the receiver near the remote sensor. I don't know exactly where that is though since these are RF (radio frequency) not IR remotes, so there isn't a sensor panel in the front. I'd just tap along the front edge with the handle of a screwdriver or something. People say it works a treat.
