Quick and easy instruction to restore your Rim BlackbBerry to factory settinng

Go to menu
> Options
> Security Options
>Security Wipe
>Select, Emails and Contacts ( this will remove phone numbers and every info present on the phone, if you want to keep contacts and emails deselect this) (Remove your memory card when doing this)

Rim BlackBerry is as New Again!!!

To restore your blackberry device to factory settings please follow the instructions below.
They may differ slightly from one device to another so please post if further information is needed.
  1. Press the Menu key twice and scroll down and enter the Options tab.
  2. From the Security menu, select Security Wipe.
  3. Be sure to highlight the three checkboxes available in the next menu. If you used the SD card for your backup, remove the card and leave the "Media Card" box unchecked.
  4. Now type "blackberry" in the field below the boxes.
  5. Scroll to Wipe and hit enter, the phone will restart with all your data erased.

Restore factory default settings
When you restore the factory default settings, all personal settings are reset. Follow these instructions to restore the factory default settings.
All phone data will be deleted. Data on your SIM isn't deleted.

1. Find "Security Wipe"
Press the Menu key twice.
Scroll to Options and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Security and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Security Wipe and press the Navigation key.
2. Restore factory default settings
Highlight Emails, Contacts, etc., User Installed Applications or Media Card and press the Navigation key.
When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the selected data will be deleted.
Highlight the field at the bottom of the display and key in blackberry
Scroll to Wipe and press the Navigation key to restore the factory default settings.
Follow the instructions on the display

why won't the number 1,0 and space bar button work?


Have you tried a battery pull...... restart by removing the battery while your device is Powered On , try it and see if you're able to access your keyboard . you can try factory default to reset phone ...When you restore the factory default settings, all personal settings are reset. how to restore factory settings on bb pearl


If you want the data take backup using backup and restore from Desktop Manager.

Now Click Menu-->select options-->General Settings-->security options-->press menu--> select wipe handheld-->type blackberry and press ok.

All the data will be deleted and now your device is new device without any soft data.
