How To: Downgrade iPhone OS v4.0.2 to v4.0.1

Now iPhone Dev team has confirmed that they will not be releasing any jailbreaks for iPhone OS v4.0.2. Now this is a bad news for all the people who have accidentally upgraded their OS version to 4.0.2.
But there is way by which we can downgrade our OS version to the previous version. ie., 4.0.1 for which jailbreak is still available.
This step by step guide will show you how to downgrade your iPhone
iOS 4.0.2 to iOS 4.0.1. These steps are pretty simple but there is one major requirement: you must have your SHSH files saved on Saurik's server. There is absolutely no way around it. If you don't have your SHSH, you won't be able to downgrade your iPhone.
In this tutorial, we will see how to downgrade the iPhone from 4.0.2 to 4.0.1 but the steps are the same if you want to downgrade to iOS 4 or even 3.1.3.
There are several methods used to downgrade the iPhone. We will learn the method that uses TinyUmbrella. No file editing will be necessary.
How to Downgrade from iOS 4.0.2 to 4.0.1Step 1: Let's download your SHSH blobs from Saurik's server to your computer. To do so, download TinyUmbrella(http://thefirmwareumbrella.blogspot.com/) and plug your iPhone in. Select the "Advanced Options" box. Also select the firmware version to which you wish to downgrade. Finally, select "Cydia" under "Request From". Then hit "Save My SHSH". This will grab your SHSH files from Saurik's servers and save them on your computer.
Step 2: Download the firmware to which you wish to downgrade to from our iPhone downloads section. Save it to your desktop.
Step 3: Put your iPhone in DFU Mode. To do so, launch iTunes and plug your iPhone in. Press and hold the Home and Power button together for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, release the Power button while still holding the Home button until iTunes pops up and says it has found an iPhone in recovery Mode.
Step 4: Run TinyUmbrellaand click the "Display SHSHs" button to make sure your SHSH blobs were downloaded to your computer. Once done, click "Start TSS Server".
Step 5: Now we're going to restore to the firmware you want. To do so, launch iTunes and plug your iPhone in. Hold to SHIFT key (Windows only) or ALT/Option key (Mac only) while clicking on Restore. Make sure you hold the key while clicking Restore. A window will open. Simply select the firmware you downloaded in step 2.
Step 6: Your iPhone will start the restore process. You will most likely get several errors (error 1011, 1013, and 1015) but that's ok, don't worry about those.
Step 7: Finally, we need to get your iPhone out of recovery mode. To do so, simply click "Kick Device Out of Recovery" in TinyUmbrella.
Done!
You should now be back on a previous iOS, giving you the ability to jailbreak and unlock.

i updated new version of software 3.1.3 but it is nt activated it is not supporting 2g sim

Hello,
If you have a carrier locked iPhone (AT&T in the US), then simply connect the iPhone to your computer with the iPhone's USB cable and open iTunes. Upon doing so, iTunes should connect to the internet and activate your iPhone by confirming your AT&T service account via Apple's activation servers.
If your iPhone is using a Non-AT&T carrier, then you must download and use an application like Blackra1n to re-activate your iPhone and jailbreak it, if necessary.
However, please note, if you need the iPhone unlocked as well, firmware OS version 3.1.3 (currently the latest, as of this writing) is not unlockable due to the changes it makes to your baseband. You cannot downgrade your firmware OS either since the baseband changes 3.1.3 makes to your iPhone's modem are permanent.
Until a proper fix is found and released by the iPhone Dev-Team (the creators & supporters of the iPhone unlocking software), the best you can hope for is an activated, jailbroken iPhone, but sadly, not unlocked.

3gs with 3.1.3. I understand you can't unlock it?

as of yet there is no unlock for this and it is unknown as to whether there will ever be one, jailbreaking may be possible but not the unlock unfortunately, http://blog.iphone-dev.org/ keep an eye on this site as dev team release jailbreaks as soon as they have cracked them and all free, also be careful of sites advertising unlocks for 3.1.3 as they just charge you, give you the current software that doesnt unlock this and you wont see your money again

How do I download icons to iphone

HI there,

there is only one possible way to use themes on your iPhone.
to use themes/custom icons the phone must be "jailbroken" which is a complicated process which edits the Phones firmware to allowed Homebrew/Hacked applications to run on the phone. once done, there are all the functionalities of the original phone software with the additions of being able to directly download hacked/homebrew apps to the phone.

if you are using a mac/Win PC you can now jailbreak the latest version of iPhone firmware using a downloadable program called the Pwnage tool created by the iPhone Dev Team.

the website to download this is http://blog.iphone-dev.org/
The tutorial for using the Pwnage tool can be found here : http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=462648

Remember to BACK UP everything on the phone before attempting to jailbreak the phone !

Hope this helps ?!
