Tip & How-To about Facebook Apps

Tip on Linked

When people view profiles one of the top features is something called recommendations. While these may feel a little fluffy when you read them, lack of them can be a competitive issue. You should acquire some recommendations and I find the best way to get them is to give them. Choose people in your network that you've worked with and write an honest statement of recommendation. Don't be surprised if you receive some in return.

is it a safty feature that shuts engine off after new ingnetion. runs good 10 mins,

There is a little module on the ignition key that talks to the computer. If that got changed, you must reprogram the computer (dealer only). There is a roumer that there is a way to get things running enough to drive to the dealer. Has something to do with waiting ... maybe 1/2 hour. BTW, it is a security feature so someone can't steal your car.

  • Sharing with a broad audience: Use the share menu that's located at the top of your home page and profile. From there, you can update your status and share photos, videos, links and other application content. Things you share will appear as posts on your profile, and can appear in News Feed. (To control whether or not specific people have the option to view your stories, you can change the privacy settings for each piece of content you post.)
  • Sharing with a small group of friends: Use the Groups feature to share content with a select group of people, like family members, your soccer team or your book club.
  • Sharing with an individual: You can use the share menu at the top of a friend's profile to write or share something on his or her Wall. Friends of your friend will also be able to view your post. If you'd like to share something privately, you can always send someone a private message.

my photo albums wont display on facebook profile page, if i go to photos top of profile and click i can see them but i want them on profile, they were there with all my apps...now there gone

3 Possibilities I can think of (I have just had a similar problem);

1) Your Photo feature (app) has been disabled
2) Your Photo feature (app) has been set to private.
3) Your individual albums are set to private

To solve:
1) Up the top right, click on "Settings" (next to your name) and then "Privacy Settings". Click on "Applicaions". Click on the "Settings" tab. Make sure "Photos taken by me" and "Photos of me" are both ticked. Scroll down and click "Save Changes"

2) Up the top right, click on "Settings" (next to your name) and then "Application Settings". Look for the "Photos" app and click "Edit Settings". Make sure:
The "Box:" is set to "Added",
The "Privacy:" is set to "Everyone" (or at least not "Only Me")
Under the "Additional Permissions" tab the various boxes are ticked.
and then click "OK" to save the new settings.

3) Under the Photos app (from your Profile click "View Photos of Me" - it's under your display picture), scroll down to "x's Albums" and click "Album Privacy". Make sure under the various albums' 'Who can see this' settings that they are set to something other than "Only Me" or a specific (unwanted) "Custom" setting. When you are done editing these, scroll down to the bottom and click "Save Settings"

Hope this helps
