Why did it freeze during software update?

Here is some help on a Sharp Aquos. You pull the plug and update manually.

Sharp Aquos Firmware Update Issue and Resolution I recently had problems with my Sharp Aquos LC-60LE632U and firmware update 311U1204061. When I attempted to run the Netflix app, I was told that I couldn't proceed unless I updated the firmware. After 2 attempts to update the firmware via the network, I turned to Google and found that this was a common problem. In order to resolve the issue, you'll need to update the firmware manually, via a USB thumb drive. See the following instructions:

  1. Go to the Sharp USA product download site
  2. After you choose your TV model, download the firmware file
  3. View the rest of the instructions found here

Need the lastest firmware update file for a Sharp BDHP21U Blu-ray Disc Player. Can you help me?

Go to the following web page:

http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads.aspx

On the left hand side of the page you will see a heading called: "FIND PRODUCT DOWNLOADS BY PRODUCT MODEL #". You will select "Blu-ray Disc players" in the first line. The second drop down does not have your model number included so choose "Model Not Listed". Then in the next line down enter your model number "BD-HP21U" and leave the last box as "ANY". Then press the Search button. The system will give you the one firmware update file that is available. You will then download that file.
The player came with a CD with software to install on your computer. Connect your player to your computer with the supplied cable and run the software to update your firmware. The program should then automatically detect the player, ask you where the update file is , and then automatically load that update to the player. Be very careful to ensure that you do not interrupt the update process. You could cause the player to lock-up and then have to go through a lot of grief to get things back to normal.

onkyo tx-nr801 net tune setup help

Below is the sequence that I made it work

1. download the latest firmware for tx-nr801 and net-tune central software at Onkyo website as shown below:
http://www.intl.onkyo.com/products/net-tune/download/index.html
Click on "User Identification" at the bottom
(You'll need the serial number shown at the back of TX-NR801
to download it)

2. disable firewall in your PC or notebook and start
updating the firmware for tx-nr801
If firewall can't be disable, you probably can't go through this.
This step takes about 30 min.

(There is a document showing how to do this with the download)

3. keep disabling firewall in your PC (notebook) and install net-tune central (there is similar document describing the procedure too)

4. By pressing Net-Audio on remote controller (it can switch between mServer and iRadio fucntions if you keep pressing this button)
