Buying a new PC--See Davethe snake first

If your thinking about buying a new Pc or laptop search the net for the correct model and specification you want. There is a lot of confusion with similar model names with some manufacturers--this is so they can sell old stock and try to confuse the customer--a real corporeate tactic. so get the right model down to the last code and number.Good luck!

Not sure whether I have an LCD-Led screen or LCD-CCL screen?

Just go to ebay and in the search type: Acer Aspire 5536G LCD Screen.
The results will bring back the correct ones that fit your laptop. Once the results come back you can filter them by selecting Buy It Now, then sort them Prices Low to High. I see new screens for your laptop starting at around $60.00

If it's this one (click HERE), then it is Wi-Fi ready. I doubt if it comes with Dual Core or not. The specs given on the technical specification document comes with Core 2 Duo.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

what is required for internal Cellular SIM operation

What you need is a laptop/netbook with a 3g modem.some people reckon this is the best way to connect out and about on the train etc.
Only certain models of netbook have them and the net searches just bring back confusing information and duplicate specification information that is wrong or refering to other products--The problem is this seems to be the future technology but the manufacturers are trying to get rid of the old stock that do not have this function,,so they try and confuse the customer into buying the wrong model.
You will need to remove the battery compartment to see if there is a slot for a sim card usually at one end of the compartment.
The HP mini series have one but they dont plug its specification in the advertising bumf, probably because they want to get rid of old stock.Samsung do one --NC10.And asus do a new series with this function but beware,go armed with the correct model you want and make sure the shop assistant is selling you the correct model also-the spec numbers are very similar on some brands

my laptop

If you have an operating system installer use it and format your laptop first. Then proceed in installing the new os.Download the specific drivers needed for your laptop.Remember that before you reinstall you must first know what these specific drivers are..You can see it from the device manager. Click my computer--->left click----->properties-------->hardware tab---->device manager. Or simply type the model of your laptop and search for its drivers from the net. Another best option is buy a recovery cd from toshiba.
