You should note that due to the limitations of the iphone's mail program the finished panoramas will be sent via email at 800px wide.

cant mail a pic from desktop by right clicking and selecting send mail as i get an error that it cant send

Most email providers will limit the size of the email to 10mb. Some go as large as 30mb.
If you right click the image and select properties what is the file size (remember 1mb is 1024kb)?
If the file size is fairly large try compressing the software using software like winzip or winrar. To see if it can shrink the file enough to be sent via email.
Another thing to note is some email providers also do not allow certain file formats to be mailed as well. Most will allow you to mail a compressed file format (*.zip, *.tar.gz, *.rar).

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'fkb@ameritech.net'. Subject '', Account: 'pop.attyahoo.com', Server: 'smtp.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 authentication required - for help go to http://help.yahoo.com/sbc/dsl/mail/pop/pop-11.html', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

One problem is that the incoming (POP) mail server shown in the error message appears to be incorrect. The server address should be "pop.att.yahoo.com" (with a period between "att" and "yahoo"). The incorrect mail server address may interfere with authentication of the sender's email address, which is needed before the outgoing message is sent.

The "530 authentication" message indicates your outgoing (SMTP) server likely requires "server authentication". Also, the "Port 25" message indicates your email program is currently trying to send via Port 25, with no SSL; but Ameritech/Yahoo accounts appears to use Port 465 with SSL enabled.

See more on sever settings for "ameritech.net" users:

https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61941/~/i886---at%26t,-bellsouth,-sbcglobal,-ameritech-email-settings

I would suggest you check the settings for your Ameritech email account in your email program. You may need to correct several settings. The steps to access account settings are somewhat different for various email programs (Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, etc.). You should be able to find guidance in the "help" section of your email program.

Sending emails using GMail on the iPhone

To fix the responding issue, you need to tell your iphone which account is the default account for sending your emails.

touch settings, then mail, and at the bottom of that page in the sending section it asks which account is your default.

The iphone will always use this accoutn to send emails if you start an email outside of the mail program, like by clicking an email in your contacts list or on a webpage.

Now if your in another POP account in the mail program and you click compose message it should be sent from that account.

Hope this helps :)
