I turned my phone on. It showed the Kyocera logo, acted like it wanted to go to the Cricket Wireless screen but Kyocera logo came back up. Will not go pass this screen. I have even taken my battery out and put in another phone and that phone came on. Has not been in water

try this reset procedure ..and see if ti works..remember that you will loose any user data on it ..this will reset it to factory settings ..
Also it may be a good idea to remove any media on it ..
If this is not working ..you should get to the manufacturer support site ..and download the firmware and make an update ..or ..I would go for the original firmware and make a re-soft ..

trying to factory restor my lg 9800 but dont have security code since I bought phone used how can I reset to erase all the previous owners **** ?

1 - Open the Flip
2 - Press MENU >> Then ' 0 ' [ zero ]
3 - At the Service Code prompt enter six zeros
4 - Choose option 12

Phone should REBOOT and RESET to Factory Defaults... But, if you want to go to the pre-activation stage, that's a different process...

1 - Flip Open, Press Menu
2 - Press 0 followed by 000000 [6 zeros at the Sevice Code Prompt]
3 - Choose Option 1 [ Service Program ]
4 - Click the OK soft button [brings you to the * Phone Number (MDN)* screen]
5 - At that screen enter 10 zeros - to replace your current phone number
6 - Click the OK soft-button
7 - At this screen repeat step number 5
8 - Now click END

Phone will REBOOT by itself and the screen will now display " Initial Programming Required " - This is what the Sales Rep sees when he/she opens the box and boots the phone the very first time to program it to your account

Try a Hard Reset:

Hard Reset will reset the phone to its factory settings and erase all data.

1. Press the MENU/OK key to select the MAIN MENU tile.
2. Scroll Up to Settings and press the MENU/OK key. 3. Scroll Up to More and press the MENU/OK key. 4. Scroll Up to Security and press the MENU/OK key. 5. Enter the lock code. For this example, press 7 to prompt one to fill in. If you can’t recall your lock code, try using the last four digits of your wireless phone number. If this doesn’t work, call Sprint Customer Service at 1-888-211-4727. 6. Scroll Up to Erase/Reset and press the MENU/OK key 7. Scroll to Reset Phone and press the MENU/OK key. 8. Read the Warning and press OK (Left Soft key). 9. Scroll Up to Yes and press the MENU/OK key. 10. Scroll Up to Yes and press the MENU/OK key to complete the reset. 11. For this example, once the reset is complete, scroll Down to No to decline to verify Wireless Backup

enter ##626# and hit send button. it will bring u to option to select nam1 or nam2, select nam1.. go to next screen, enter in the sdc code which is 000000, (6 zeros), enter or next screen, make sure that mid is same as ur cell number, go to next screen, it will show ur number again, next screen, will be sid and nid numbers... they are what they should be, go next screen, then i think there is option to be done, view, edit choose done, next screen then it will program by itself. powering on then off, bringing u back to same screen with the same window of initial programming needed, just go to enter code, and enter the last 4 of your cell number, and it will let u through,.. just remember to go back in to your phone options menu and change the nam setting in there back to nam1 also. then it will power off and on again. program should be complete... you can always also dial *228 and option 2 to reprogram your phone again to
