My ip phone is always hanging

I have a problem with my ip phone,i have configured it and is working fine just that it's hanging anytime and im always oblige to reboot it otherwise no one can call me after,first i was thinking that the ip phone was having a physical problem but i have about 20 and all of them are behaving the same way after the configuration.could help me,aniway if it's not a physical problem it must be coming from a bad configuration

Im terribly sorry bud but to tell you the truth, there is probably no fix for this as you have water damage. IT's more than likely a hardware malfunction now where the water in the phone has caused a loop electrical connection that will consistently make it reboot. Now for a sliver of hope, I'm not sure what kind exactly, but rice can sometimes **** the water from within electronic devices. If you completely submerge the phone within rice for at the very least, 3 days, you might have a solid result. Best of luck to you.

My Cisco IP Phone 7945G keeps rebooting after I did a factory reset. Is there a way to fix this?

According to Cisco, when initiating a factory reset procedure certain information from the IP phone is erased while other information is reset to the factory default value, as shown in the list below:

Information Erased:
  • CTL File (Certificate Trust List)
  • LSC File (Locally Significant Certificate)
  • IP Phone Call History (Calls Received, Placed, Missed etc)
  • Phone application
Information Reset to Default:
  • User configuration settings (ring tone, screen brightness, sound levels etc)
  • Network configuration settings

t is highly advisable to follow the firmware upgrade procedure in a non-working environment to ensure other phones are not affected (in case of an accidental reboot), and to avoid the freshly factory reset ip phones obtaining the working environment's settings.

Format your phone manually by typing this code *#7370# followed by the security code of your phone or you personalized security code.then,let the phone restart completely.And try to observe if it is working fine after formatting.

You didn't provide any information about your network which is ALWAYS required to provide any type of help, not to mention a solution.

"Failed to get boot parameters via DHCP, xxx seconds until reboot" simply means that the computer isn't getting an IP address from your router. Setting up your router is another entirely separate topic.

This is pretty simple though, one of three things is happening:

1. Your router is not properly configured to provide DHCP to the phone.
2. Your network cable is bad.
3. Your phone is bad (most likely the RJ45 port since the phone seems to work otherwise).

You can check for bad ports or cables by checking the port status within the router. If the port is lit up, most likely the cable and phone port are fine. This is not 100% though, replacing the cable should always be a consideration even with a lit port.

i am unable to push the configuration files into polycom soundpoint ip 330 through tftpd

This means the phone's SIP application has been erased. You will need to download the SIP app and BootROM from the Polycom support page, host the files on a boot server, and then point the phone to this server from the server menu so the phone will reboot and download the files.
