Tip & How-To about Cell Phones
If you have switched your phone on and you have found you have got a white screen then carry on reading.
The problem is common on all flip and slide phones but does happen on any phone but more often on flip or slide phones, this also includes laptops and netbooks as they have the same problem and the same solution.
Now the problem is caused by a data ribbon that connects the screen with the circuit board, now when you open and close your phone (or laptop or netbook) this ribbon bends or moves so it keeps the connection with the screen.
Now over time this causes the single strand copper wires that run inside the ribbon to become brittle and they then break and you get a white scree.
The white screen tells you the phone is working and the screen is getting power its just not getting any data send to it so it just gives you a blank white screen.
Now as this is such a very common fault it makes the part (data ribbon) very cheap to buy and its also just as cheap to have fitted, how ever if you take your phone into one of the big branded shops they will have to send it off and they will charge you extra for this.
Instead take your phone to one of those small self employed phone shops and ask them about the repair, they will cost you a lot less and they will do the repair themselves. they should be able to do is whilst you wait or at the latest the next day.
As this is a very common fault then the costs of repair are low so it does work out worth getting this part fixed and then you will have a working phone.
I must answer about 20 of these white screen problems a day so now i have wrote this tip to explain the problem in detail.
hope this has been some help to you.
