Removing the Unit Compartment Cover
NOTE: Sharp edges may be present.
1. Unplug the refrigerator or disconnect the
power.
2. Lift the main decorative panel to unhook it
and remove the panel.
3. Lift and remove the louvered decorative
panel.
4. Remove the two hex-head screws from
the air diverter and remove the diverter.
5. Remove the nine hex-head screws from
the unit compartment front cover, and pull
the cover forward out of the way.
NOTE: If there is less than 3above the top of
the unit compartment cover, perform Method A
to remove the cover. If there is at least 3above
the top of the unit compartment cover, Method
B will allow you to remove the cover without
pulling out the refrigerator.
METHOD A
1. Pull the refrigerator out of its mounting
location so you can access the rear of the
unit.
2. Remove the left and right hex-head screws
(one on each side) from the front corners
of the unit compartment cover.
3. Remove the left and right hex-head screws
from the rear channels of the unit compartment
cover.
4. Lift the unit compartment cover up, and
pull it forward off the refrigerator.

Hello,

This problem happens mainly due to the thermal unit being obstructed by dust.

Please follow the below steps to solve this problem.

Remove the Thermal module

1. Remove the 2 screws holding the IO Bezel

2. Then remove the IO Bezel

3. Remove the two screws securing the heatsink cover

4. Remove the heatsink cover from the main unit.

5. Disconnect the fan cable

6. Remove the four screws that secure the thermal module.

7. Pull the thermal module outwards and remove it.

Note: The edge of the thermal module is very sharp. So be careful when when removing it.

Once the above steps are over, make sure to clean the thermal module and remove every dust found inside there.

after cleaning, make sure that the vents are not obstructed and then follow the above instructions in the reverse order to replace thermal module.

Changing the fuser unit


1 Unplug the power cable.
2 Remove the paper delivery tray assembly
3 Remove two (2) screws from the right cover assembly
4 Remove the right cover assembly, carefully disengaging the catches
5 Unplug the control panel cable.
6 Insert a screwdriver to loosen the release tab on each side of the upper face cover
7 Remove the upper face cover
8 Remove four (4) screws from the upper cover
9 Lift up and remove the face-down cover
10 Remove the output tray by releasing the tabs.
11 Unplug the harness from the fuser motor
12 Open two (2) clips and remove one (1) clip to remove the fuser connector.
13 Unplug two (2) 3-pin optical encoder wires
14 Unplug the red high-voltage bias wire.
15 Remove the thermistor wire.
16 Remove the cables from the wiring harness.
17 Remove three (3) screws from the fuser chassis.
18 Gently rocking if necessary, roll the fuser forward to remove.
Use the following procedure to replace the fuser.
1 Align the fuser tabs with their respective holes.
2 Complete replacement by following steps 1 through 18 above in reverse order.
NOTE When replacing the right cover, align the tabs on the upper edge of the right cover
and lower edge of the face-down cover with their respective slots.
