When installing the sump spray the hole in the tub where the sump assy goes with Spray Pam and it will slide right in.

The upper spray arm came detached, how do I reattach it?

On my dishwasher, this arm attaches with a huge gray plastic screw. If it comes loose, you'll usually find the spray arm sitting in the bottom rack, but the screw falls down to the bottom of the tub.

The spray arm has a hole that goes all the way through its center. One of these holes is larger than the other, so the arm will only attach in one direction. Most of the spray holes on the arm face "up" when installed.

Slide out the upper rack, position the spray arm on its pivot, then insert the screw and turn clockwise to tighten it. The arm should spin freely.

If this arm isn't attached, none of the dishes will wash well (due to a loss of water pressure).

Machine started making a quick tapping noise during wash after it had been almost silent since installation. Then noticed it appear the machine is not putting out spray or the spray amount decreased over a couple weeks till the dishes are not getting clean.

The vario motor may be at fault.
The motor switcher the spray from top to bottom.
It is part of the sump assy.

You can tell if it is working if you start the unit and when it is in the wash cycle you can hear the water spraying change from top to bottom every few minutes.

D/W has a full 1 yr warranty and most have a 5 yr part warranty on the sump.

Check your owners guide.

Lower Spray arm not spraying

just open the machine ( only if you are comfortable with this) and take the sump assy out as a whole.
Than open it up and look at the drawings. It will come to you as you are going in to it. Otherwise ask a friend with a little technical knowledge to help you.
The drawings and parts lists should help you
